(An "EPIC" Production.)

In a time where most live bands are not actually live at all, and your heroes mime their hits on stage even though you've just spent your weeks wages on the ticket, and many bands have lots of extra instruments and voices on a backing track to "enhance" the sound, Eaglesque will take you right back to basics and prove that it was better when things were a bit more real.  The band will take you through impeccable performances of many of The Eagles' greatest hits, and other classic west coast big harmony guitar based rock from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doobie Brothers, Mavericks, Los Lobos, Bellamy Brothers etc...  The band has a vast repertoire of songs to suit different audiences.  Alternatively, this versatile band will perform a 1 hour show of Eagles hits if called upon to do so.  See Also - www.myspace.com/eaglesque

The Stage Review

Published Monday 28th September 2009 at 14:40 by Mike Martin.

The hotel’s function room had been laid out “in the round”, with potential bookers and guests totally surrounded by several set areas in which the acts duly went through their paces. Consequently, the first half’s compere, Gaz Martin, was required to draw the audience’s attention, in between acts, to whatever section of the room was next relevant. As the said area was then lit, the announced act would then perform, a method which worked rather slickly..

My interest perked up when Eaglesque took the stage, this combo proved what fine musicians and performers they were by mesmerising the room with a sound tribute to the West Coast country rock scene. Opening with a highly pleasing Take it Easy, it was a delight to appreciate their well-observed instrumental dexterity and tight harmonies. The polish of the original Eagles is a hard act to follow but they pull it off with flying colours. Finishing their set with an inspired Hotel California, this first-class band is definitely a cut above most other tributes
