Jamie, “I’m aware that submitting this scribbling now will make my news feed seem all out of order. But it’s the first chance I’ve had to write something. This year, for the first time ever having been a massive Commodore 64 fan since being about 11, I attended Zzap! Live – the convention for Commodore enthusiasts. It was truly an amazing experience. I would like to express my thanks to Mr Chris Wilkins, not just for organising such an amazing event, but for also introducing me to Mr Rob Hubbard, my hero, as soon as I arrived. I expected to endure an awkward couple of minutes not having a clue what to say to a professional video game composter that is used to people being in awe of him. Instead, I spent a couple of hours chatting with a fascinating person as though we had known each other for years. I decided after this experience, not to be the annoying content creator guy for the weekend. Not to take lots of photos and videos and just immerse myself in the event and enjoy it like a fan. It was just what I needed and what an event! There’s so much I could write about but, for now I’ll leave it at that. If you’ve never been and you like your retro machines, you should go.”
